2022-23 TEACHER MINI GRANT GUIDELINES

Teachers may now apply for mini grants to assist in purchasing essential school supplies for underserved schools. The purpose of this program is to improve the educational experience of students while relieving the financial burden from teachers who are spending their own money on supplies for students. 

A total of 20 grants in the amount of $500 are available for Shelby County teachers in grades Pre-K-4, with preference given to those who teach in Memphis-Shelby County Schools. Teachers may use the grant to purchase school supplies, curriculum, and/or technology resources for students.

Requirements:

  • Submit a completed grant application by August 19, 2022. (Incomplete applications will not be accepted.)
  • Submit a proposal for how the funds will be used and how students will benefit. 
  • Awardees must provide a copy of receipt(s) detailing purchases as indicated on the application.

Winners will be highlighted in the Foundation’s newsletter and on social media.
